Top Attractions For Traralgon
Walhalla
- Come visit this town of yester year. In 1863 the gold rush started in Stringers creek. The miners discovered Cohen's Reef one of the richest gold bearing reefs in Australia's history. During the town's hey day, 1880-1895 the population swelled to 4,000 people. Today the town has just 13 residents. The Railway is a great ride as it winds around the mountain. The Gold mine tour is a must, and it is part of the 8 kilometres of tunnels that run under the town. For the garden lovers, a visit to Lynn's Deloraine gardens is a visit to remember, and it is hard to choose from her rare plants. Wonder through the town or take a ride on a horse drawn vehicle.
